Bio

Marina Gerster has been working as a research assistant for Prof. Dr. Susanne J. Jekat since January 2018, focusing on language technology and multilingual communication. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics (Specialisation in Professional Translation) at the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (IUED) of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), where she also completed her Bachelor’s degree. Her Bachelor’s thesis focused on product placement in audio description. In her Master’s thesis, she is analysing audio description by means of synthetic voices.
