Bio

Larysa Zavgorodnia (M.A.) has worked as a lecturer at the Department of Translation and Interpreting at the Linguistics Kiev University from 2003 – 2007. She translates from German to Ukrainian/Russian, from Ukrainian/Russian to German,  and interprets into/from sign language. Larysa is also a qualified and experienced language teacher (German). Her research areas include discourse analyses, linguistic pragmatics, and communication of deaf and hearing-impaired individuals.

Since February 2018, she has been working as a Research Assistant in the area of Interculturality and Diversity at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences,  with a special focus on barrier-free access to tertiary education.
